Cancer appeal tops £2.25m

sd2359021lingenlogo2.jpgThere’s less than £1m left to raise for our Lingen Davies Cancer Centre Appeal after it smashed through the £2.25m barrier – two years ahead of target.

Recent donations have included £1,450 from Margaret Lobbenberg, who held a coffee morning at her home on The Mount, and £3,039 from Marj Bunting and friends who cooked Sunday lunch for villagers in Bomere Heath.

Appeal manager Eryl Williams said: “I am delighted that we have reached another milestone.”

The money will build ensuite facilities for the head and neck ward at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, a new clinic for haematology and extend the chemotherapy day unit.
