The Shrewsbury Chronicle has won another award. Last Thursday in Leeds the paper was voted runner-up in the best weekly newspaper in the West and East Midlands and East Anglia in a competition organised by the Newspaper Society. We were beaten by the Tamworth Herald which went on to win the best weekly newspaper in the UK.
Editor John Butterworth said: “It’s been another fantastic year for the paper with all its awards and shows we are still up with the top weekly papers in the country.”
