Riding for REsponD Appeal

sd2520465racert29.jpgRiders are champing at the bit to take part in the next big event for our REsponD Appeal.

Ludlow Charity Race Day is on Thursday, March 20 and will feature a special race sponsored by the Shrewsbury Chronicle.

It is hoped that the event, organised by , will take the REsponD Appeal to its £100,000 target.

This will mean that a co-ordinator can be employed to help recruit Red Cross ambassadors – people who will work in their local communities to help vulnerable people to access services.

The charity has already taken delivery of a £42,000 multi-purpose vehicle paid for by the appeal.

The event, which is taking place at Ludlow Racecourse, will be an exciting day with guests being treated to a champagne reception and three-course lunch as well as watching the racing.

A promise auction will also be held.

Natasha Halliday, 32, from Westbury is one of the riders who will be taking part in the Shrewsbury Chronicle Charity Race on her horse Scarlet O’Hara.

A keen horse  rider in her spare time, Mrs Halliday works as a horse osteopath during the day.

Ian Musty, appeal organiser, said: “Tickets are going well for the event. It will be a fantastic day which I am sure everyone will enjoy.” For more information contact Ian on 01743 280070.
