Up and coming local rugby ace Graham Kitchener has been named in the England under-20 squad for tomorrow night’s Six Nations international against Scotland at Falkirk.
Kitchener, from Baschurch, has had an injury-ravaged season and has only played twice since November.
But now that he’s fit and hopefully over his knee problems, the England selectors have shown their faith by calling him up.
The Worcester Warriors lock has previously represented England at under-16 and 18 level, and he toured Australia with England’s under-18 side last summer.
Kitchener, who was introduced to the game at Shrewsbury Rugby Club, joins an England under-20 squad in good spirits after an unbeaten start to their Six Nations campaign following wins over Wales 28-15, Italy 22-13 and France 24-6.
After facing Scotland they tackle Ireland at Gloucester on Friday, March 14.
