A string of football teams from the Shrewsbury area have been told when they will get the chance to play at Shrewsbury Town’s new stadium as the Oteley Road venue prepares to host the end-of- season Shropshire FA finals for the first time.
Instones United, one of the most powerful sides in the Shrewsbury and District Sunday League over recent years, will contest the first county final at Oteley Road when they face Harp 2003 in the Dyke Yaxley Sunday Premier Cup decider on Sunday, April 27 (2pm).
Then Hanwood United’s under-17s will battle it out with SAHA under-18 Colts in the Umbro Youth Challenge Cup final on Tuesday, May 6 (7pm).
And it will also be an all-Shrewsbury affair in the Sunday Challenge Cup final with Brick Rangers up against Reman AFC on Sunday, May 11 (2pm).
Thee more county finals will be held at the stadium but they have no local interest.
