The paper that gets results

A Shrewsbury woman who hoped to gain supporters to set up a stall for her much-loved charity has been able to achieve her goal – thanks to the Chronicle.

Back in January, the Chronicle published a feature on Jenny Lack, 61, from Plealey, whose homemade Capri-Sun carton handbags became a successful fundraiser for The Brooke charity to help more than 650,000 working horses, donkeys and mules in the developing world.

She said. ā€œI’m extremely grateful to the Chronicle, because it has made a huge difference.ā€ Jenny and her fellow supporters will be holding a Brooke stand in the Square this Saturday from 9am to 5pm.
