Town MP Daniel Kawczynski will meet with Post Office officials in a crunch meeting, tomorrow, Friday, to step up the fight to save five post offices in his constituency.
West Midlands Post Office bosses, Mark Partington and Mike Dalton, will meet with Mr Kawczynski and councillors at the MP’s Harlescott Lane office at 2pm.
Branches at Greenfields, Ditherington, Montford Bridge, Acton Burnell and Cressage are five of 27 branches in the county which are earmarked for closure – with an outreach service proposed for some.
Mr Kawczynski said: “I want to show the Post Office just how strongly my constituents feel about the closures.”
