A town centre restaurant has won an award celebrating the country’s most impressive contributors to the food industry.
The Good Life Wholefood Restaurant, Wyle Cop, finished runner-up in the annual Observer Food Awards, after being voted for by customers for its high standard of vegetarian food.
The restaurant has been serving customers in Shrewsbury for more than 20 years and specialises in vegetarian food.
Jo Langfield, owner, said: “We are delighted and very proud to win the award, and I would like to thank all the customers that voted for us. We have an excellent team of staff here and the award is a reward for all their hard work.
“The winner for the past two years has been a restaurant in Brighton and next year we hope to give them a run for their money.”
