I am hoping your readers may be able to help in the search for my husband David’s half sister.
We only found out five months ago that he had a sister, and as he is now 61 years old and the sister 71 years old, we are desperate to find her before it is too late.
His only living relative is his uncle, who has only vague recollections of the family.
We spent four days at Shrewsbury records office and managed to piece together part of her life up to the age of 10 years.
The information we have is as follows: David’s sister was born Isabel Joan Forrester, her date of birth was June, 1937.
Her father was Ernest Campbell John Forrester. her mother was Dorothy Isabel Ritchie James.
Just before the war they lived in the Ditherington ward, Harlescott, in Coniston Road near to the Sentinel engineering works. Prior to this they lived in Hermitage Walk in the Frankwell district.
Any information regarding the above would be appreciated, and it would be wonderful if Isabel Joan herself could get in touch.
