Members of a village bowling club were due to hold an emergency meeting tonight after vandals attacked the club pavilion and green, causing around £6,000 damage.
Graffiti was sprayed over windows and doors at the clubhouse at Baschurch Bowling Club in Station Road, while damage was also caused to an area of the bowling green during the incident.
The attack is believed to have taken place between 9.30pm on July 1 and 11.50am the following morning, while in a separate incident a nearby car was also daubed with spray paint.
Although the bowling green is still playable, committee members will meet tonight to discuss their next move.
Last December club members celebrated securing their long term future after plans to build two homes on the bowling green were thrown out by planning inspectors.
A club spokesman said it was the second incident of its type since Christmas and the damage would cost around £6,000.
Anyone with information about the attacks is urged to contact West Mercia Police on 08457 444888.
