A Japanese cartoon themed evening with costumes and competitions went with a bang last week.
Around 65 people went to the Manga themed evening at Infinity and Beyond shop in Shrewsbury. Some dressed up as their favourite characters and displayed their Manga art work.
There was a prize for the best costume and best artwork, and the guests also feasted on Japanese style sweets, played new Nintendo Wii games and held light sabre wars outside.
Paul Martin, Infinity and Beyond’s owner, said: “It was a really good night and we were pleased at the turnout. We’d like to do it again next year.”
Manga fans can also go to the Manga fan club which is held at the shop – the next meeting will be on August 27 at 6pm.
