Chronicle reporter Emma Kasprzak has been shortlisted for a national journalism award.
The NCTJ Awards for Excellence in Journalism, which are in their first year, have been set up to recognise and reward journalists who have been in the industry for less than two years.
Emma is one of three reporters to be shortlisted in the category Feature Writer of the Year.
Editor John Butterworth said: “It is a tremendous achievement for Emma to be shortlisted for this prestigious award after only seven months on the paper.”
Winners will be announced at the Society of Editors’ conference in Bristol on November 9 to 11.
