Pontesbury continue to fly the Shrewsbury Sunday League flag in the Shropshire FA Sunday Premier Cup as they strive to get their hands on the prestigious silverware for the first time.
Pontesbury beat Seven Stars 2-1 last weekend to book their place as the county town’s sole representatives in the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, it’s quarter-final day in the Shropshire FA Sunday Challenge Cup this weekend, with no less than four Shrewsbury league clubs chasing places in the semi-finals.
Two of them, Hop & Friar and Norbury, come face to face, while elsewhere Peacock Corinthians have home advantage against Bush of St Georges and Harry Hotspur host Wrockwardine Wood.
