Still cheering the Shrews at 102

At 102 Ada-Jane Phillips has already laid claim to being Shrewsbury Town’s oldest fan – and has an extra incentive to cheer her team to Wembley glory after receiving a visit from her favourite player.

ada.jpgAda-Jane, who was the guest of honour at the club’s last game at the Gay Meadow two seasons ago, was visited at her Walcot home by centre-back Kelvin Langmead, manager Paul Simpson and general manger Jon Harris.

While she will be unable to travel to Wembley, Ada-Jane will be listening to every kick of next Saturday’s League Two play-off final with Gillingham on the radio.

Meanwhile, club officials are calling on townsfolk to deck the town out in blue and amber as Wembley fever grips supporters.

Sales from the club’s ticket office are by cash only, and tickets can also be ordered by calling Ticketzone on 0844 844 4410.
