He may not yet be worth £60 million but Manchester United may just have found a Cristiano Ronaldo of the future – and he plays for Meole Brace Juniors.
Now 12-year-old Jack Davis is set to make his debut on the famous Old Trafford pitch this season showing off his skills before a United match, writes PETER KITCHEN.
Jack, from All Stretton, won his place after beating 450 others to win a skills competition at a United soccer camp at Denstone College in Staffordshire. He tallied the highest score – ahead of players as old as 18 – after taking part in challenges testing his ball skills and control, shooting, dribbling, passing and his performance in mini games.
It’s the latest success for Jack – a big Wolves fan – who last year scored 26 goals for Meole Brace Juniors under-12s from the left wing. His sister Becky said: “We don’t know yet what match he will be going to, but he will be going on the pitch before a Man United home game. He’s really excited about it.”
