The Nags led 3-1 with Cliff Evans 21-7 and Barry Challinor 21-4. The Sentinel shared the middle with James Mammone 21-11.
Meole A 8 (181) Oxon 4 (134)
A good effort by Oxon who shared the first four. Their best came in the middle with K Davies 21-8 while Meole had two 21-8 winners and three 21-7s from Martin Jones, John Davies and Ray Jones.
Castlefields A 10 (184) POWBC C 2 (128)
A big win for the champions with Dave Peach 21-7 and Russ Pugh 21-8 but the ‘Bird’ Kevin Walker took the sweep with 21-2. The Humpers points were good ones with Scott Newland 21-10 and Doug Edwards 21-11.
Unison 9 (195) Hanwood 5 (120)
Unison led 4-0 with Matt Statham 21-1 and Scott Moseley 21-7. John Pritchard added a 21-6 in the middle and Russ Owen won 21-10 at the end. Hanwood’s best was Jon Mansell with 21-14.
Crescent A 9 (187) Ford A (163)
A solid win for Crescent who led 4-0 with Mark Harris 21-7. Ford shared the middle with Phil Tune 21-8.
Bricklayers A 8 (182) Telepost A 4 (158)
A steady home win as the Brick led 3-1 with Tony Williams 21-6. The next two sections were shared with Dave Mansell the best Postie 21-12.
Reserve Division 2
Corbet Arms 9 (188) v. Pontesbury B 3 (116)
Graham Lewis 21-2, Paul Caswell 21-5, Ian Delves and Gill Blakely 21-6 led the way for third placed Corbet. Pontesbury picked up three points to help their relegation battle and Barry Challinor was their best with 21-5.
Reman Services 11 (208) v. Frankwell 1 (125)
Champions Reman Services showed no signs of easing off as Vi Houston was the only Frankwell winner 21-19. Dave Croft 21-5 and 21-7s from Mark Hill and Bob Chatham for the hosts.
OSBC B 9 (186) v. Meole Brace C 3 (144)
Three useful point for Meole C as they battle to stay up. Lucy Davies won 21-1 for them and this was matched by OSBC’s Barry Williams and the hosts also had a 21-3 from Nigel Ryder.
Battlefield B 4 (163) v. Meole Brace B 8 (170)
Great win for Meole as any Battlefield promotion hopes faded with this home defeat. Lynne Jennings and Ray Bourne both won 21-9 for the Lions and Alan Hughes was the pick of the visitors with 21-10.
Bagley A 2 (134) v. OSBC A 10 (196)
There was also a good away win for OSBC A to give their promotion hopes a real boost. Ally Roberts 21-7, Becky Reid 21-8 and Darren Powis for the Old Shrewsbury side and Derek Cummings 21-12 and Jenny Newton replied for the Bagley side.
St Julians A 10 (205) v. Bayston Hill A 2 (146)
The Saints closed in on promotion with this big win with Mark Lanning their Number One again with 21-11. Paul Richards 21-18 and Phil Davies 21-19 saved the brush for Bayston Hill.
Meole Village 8 (185) v. Greenfields Social A 4 (162)
This result confirmed Meole Village’s place in division two for next season. The games were shared at the start but Meole took all four in the middle with John Copper 21-6. Coppering up again for Greenfields was John Watkins 21-11.
Reserve Division 3
Ford B 9 (187) v. Bicton Village 3 (158)
More silverware for the successful Cross Gates side with John Veysey setting them on their way to a 20th win of the season with 21-6. Keith Sudlow and Dave Brown shared the away sweep with 21-13s.
Monkmoor 9 (192) v. Unison B 3 (124)
This match between the bottom two went in favour of the Monk who had cards of 21-4 from Pete Mackay, 21-5 Lesley Medlicott and a pair of 21-9s from Dave Smith and Vanessa Medlicott. Mike Hughes replied with 21-7 for Unison.
Oxon Village 8 (179) v. Minsterley 4 (166)
Oxon went 3-1 up before Minsterley levelled in the middle and then the Grapes side took the last two. Alan Edwards was a 21-6 winner for the home side and Kev Farr won 21-10 for the visitors.
Dorrington 10 (190) v. Castlefields B 2 (135)
Dorrington put a big dent in any Castlefields promotion hopes as Craig Walker 21-10 and Carl Wear 21-12 were their only winners. Dorrington’s top score came from Chris Kershaw with 21-4.
St Julians C 10 (201) v. Prince Social 2 (159)
The Saints stayed on the edge of the promotion with this big win. R Dell won 21-11 while the two Prince winners were Craig Breeze 21-14 and Neil Tooze 21-19.
POWBC B 9 (202) v. Pontesbury C 3 (175)
Solid win for the humpers’ B side with Jackie Price 21-8. Keith Tate Senior was best for the visitors with 21-16 at the end.
Bicton 10 (206) v. Crescent B 2 (149)
Tony Oliver won 21-2 at the start to put runners up Bicton in charge. Holding the line for Daisy’s battered troops were Phil Greaves 21-18 and Alan Hotchkiss 21-20.

Greenfields Social B 7 (194) v. St Julians B 5 (163)
Game shared but with Greenfields Ray Buckley winning 21-8 the match points were safe. The visitors took four close games whilst Felicity Kershaw won 21-13.
Bayston Hill B 8 (179) v. Greenfields Social C 4 (169)
Sixth win of the season for Bayston Hill with Graham Smith sealing the win at the end with 21-6. Greenfields started well with two winners including a 21-8 from Roger Collins.
Pontesbury D 10 (199) v. Bagley B 2 (140)
Darren Williams won 21-16 at the front for Bagley B and Richard Green 21-15 at the end but otherwise it was Pontesbury in control with single figure wins for Melva Bennett 21-2, Mo Hayward 21-6 and Marg Tudor 21-8.
Sporting Telepost 2 (138) v. Bricklayers B 10 (199)
The Brick all but confirmed the league title with this big away win with Jake Wynn 21-7 and 21-8s from Nigel Thomas and Geoff Booth. Caroline Rosser 21-12 and John Bowater 21-19 for the Sporting Tele.
Castlefields C 10 (193) v. Worthen & Brockton 2 (116)
The ‘Royal Oak’ signed of a successful first home season with M Hyde 21-3, A Clarke 21-4 and N Hyde 21-6 contributing to a 50 chalk lead off the front four. J Davies 21-12 and D Richards 21-13 won well for Worthen.
New Hanwood 10 (201) v. POWBC A 2 (149)
New Hanwood look good for promotion after this win where they went 4-0 up and then had Mike Bennett winning 21-7 and Clive Goodwin 21-9 in the middle. George Dourish 21-15 and Ryan Hutchings 21-18 won for the POW.
